We specialise in creating seamless group experiences across the Peak District and Derbyshire. Connecting accommodation, transport, activities and local knowledge to make planning easy and the experience unforgettable

How it all started

HDK Events is built on nearly 20 years of experience creating group experiences across the Peak District and Derbyshire.
 
The business began back in 2009, when founder Greg Knight launched Hard Days Knight, a countryside group experience company connecting accommodation, activities and local knowledge for groups visiting the Peak District.  While working at an activity centre in Derbyshire, Greg recognised that groups wanted more than just activities. They needed someone to bring everything together to create a seamless experience.
 
Behind the scenes, Greg’s wife Kim had always helped support the business with organisation and administration before officially joining the team six years ago. Together they developed the business further, expanding the types of groups they worked with and the experiences they could offer.
 
As the company evolved, Hard Days Knight grew into HDK Events an umbrella brand that now supports corporate teams, schools, retreat hosts, event organisers and adult groups, all with the same personal approach and local expertise.
 
Hard Days Knight continues today as our dedicated stag and hen brand, while HDK Events supports a wider range of group experiences.

Greg has been creating bespoke group experiences in the Peak District and surrounding areas for nearly two decades, and his local knowledge is second to none. He knows what works, who to call, and how to make things happen, often before you even realise you need it. Greg prides himself on going above and beyond to make sure every group has a fantastic experience, from first enquiry to final goodbye. If you’d like a chat, Greg is always happy to talk things through and help shape the right experience for your group.
