How it all started
Nearly 20 years of getting it right.
HDK Events began in 2009, when founder Greg Knight launched Hard Days Knight while working at a Derbyshire activity centre. He saw that groups wanted more than activities. They wanted someone to bring everything together into one seamless experience.
Behind the scenes, Greg’s wife Kim had always supported the business with organisation and administration before officially joining the team six years ago. Together they grew it into HDK Events, an umbrella brand that now supports corporate teams, schools, retreat hosts, event organisers and adult groups, all with the same personal approach.
Today the two run side by side. Hard Days Knight remains the dedicated stag, hen and social brand, while HDK Events is the corporate and group events arm. Two separate brands, one team.

Since 2009 we have welcomed more than 35,000 guests across corporate events, group experiences and celebrations in the Peak District and Derbyshire, building a strong collection of reviews and feedback across multiple platforms and brands.
Many of our long-standing reviews and TripAdvisor awards sit under Hard Days Knight, our original sister brand, which earned the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice 2026 award, placing it in the top 10 percent of listings. In earlier years the same brand also held the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
HDK Events is the newer, corporate-focused arm of that same business, run by the same people. So while the brand is newer, the team behind every corporate day, school trip and group experience is the proven one groups have trusted for years.

Greg Knight
Sales & Account Director
Greg has been creating bespoke group experiences in the Peak District for nearly two decades, and his local knowledge is second to none. He knows what works, who to call and how to make things happen, often before you even realise you need it.
From first enquiry to final goodbye, Greg goes above and beyond to make sure every group has a fantastic experience. If you would like a chat, he is always happy to talk things through and help shape the right day for your group.
