Why Hunted Works So Well for Team Building

What makes Hunted particularly effective for corporate groups is that it naturally encourages collaboration.

Teams quickly realise that success depends on:

• communication
• planning and strategy
• decision-making under pressure
• adapting to changing situations

Because everyone has a role to play, the experience works well for mixed teams and different personalities. Success isn’t about physical fitness it’s about thinking together, making smart decisions and adapting your strategy as the game unfolds.

The result is a team building experience that feels engaging and competitive without feeling forced.

What happens on the day

The Hunted experience typically lasts around 2½ hours and starts from £50pp (based on a minimum of 10 people), making it an ideal half-day outdoor team experience.

A typical Hunted experience begins with your group arriving at a designated meeting point in the Peak District countryside.

After a safety briefing, teams are organised and provided with maps and instructions before heading out on the challenge.

From there, teams must:

• navigate the game area
• collect hidden tokens
• avoid being spotted by the Hunters
• protect their own team tokens
• decide whether to hide, move quickly or change strategy

Throughout the experience, teams will find themselves constantly reassessing their plan and working together to stay ahead.

The activity typically runs for around half a day, making it an ideal option for a team away day or as part of a larger corporate event.

Skills your team will develop

Strategic thinking – planning routes, managing risk and deciding which opportunities are worth taking.

Communication – teams must share information quickly and clearly while adapting their plan as the game unfolds.

Problem solving – deciding how to collect tokens, avoid capture and react when circumstances change.

Decision-making under pressure – choosing when to hide, move quickly or change direction while the Hunters are searching.

Team collaboration – success depends on working together, trusting teammates and playing to everyone’s strengths.

Why the Peak District Is Ideal for This Type of Team Challenge

The landscapes of the Peak District provide the perfect setting for a challenge like this.

Rolling hills, quiet villages and scenic countryside create a natural playground for the pursuit, giving teams plenty of opportunities to plan routes, hide, change direction and think creatively.

Being outdoors also brings a different dynamic to team experience. Instead of sitting in meeting rooms, teams are moving, exploring and solving problems together in a relaxed environment.
